Literary Magazine Publication

I'm very excited to post a link to my first inclusion in a literary magazine. Prick of the Spindle is one of my favorite rags out there, featuring fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, interviews, reviews and sometimes more. Every quarter when I get it on my kindle it is an exciting time.

My story (written under the name Will Stronghold), "The Burrito," is sadly a nonfiction piece about my epic struggle against a rather large food item. You can read it in its entirity in Prick of the Spindle here. You can subscribe to Spindle on your kindle here. (I think it is very much worth the money to read it on your device rather than the screen, but you do get a 2 week free trail.) And, lastly, you can hear me read the piece here, on willstronghold.com.

Thanks for reading! Look forward to the eventual publication of the entire travel memoir, Travels with Charlie!

Prick of the Spindle

I just had a creative nonfiction piece accepted to the literary journal, Prick of the Spindle. Or, rather, Will Stronghold did. It's one of my very favorite journals out there. I read it on my kindle, and so should you.

The story is from the unpublished manuscript, Travels with Charlie, about my cross-country travels with my wife. In this particular episode, I am reminded of a time when I tried to eat a montrous burrito and failed desperately in the attempt.

Issue 4.4 won't be out until late December. I will remind you when it comes along. Until then, by all means start reading Prick of the Spindle! It's a great rag.

A Blog.

Here we are, another first post of another new blog. This is the way first posts look, sound, and always are; intorductory. This is where I will keep a lot of blogging about my writing, about my books, and info on how to get a hold of some of it. Up above there, you can see a myriad of pages (well, like four) to choose from to see what has already happened in my writing career.

Basically, I've just opened this puppy up and taken away solsmith.net. I didn't like the .net and I also didn't like the blogging tool I was using. So here we are, and welcome!
